We are looking for a reliable, organised, and proactive Warehouse Officer to join our team in Tema. About the Role As a Warehouse Officer, you will support the efficient management of inventory and daily warehouse operations. You will receive, inspect, store, organise, issue, and record automotive parts while maintaining accurate stock levels and ensuring that products remain secure and easily accessible. You will work closely with the procurement, sales, finance, logistics, and management teams to ensure timely movement of stock and accurate inventory information. Key Responsibilities Receive incoming automotive parts and verify quantities, specifications, condition, and accompanying documentation. Inspect deliveries and report damaged, incorrect, or missing items promptly. Record received stock accurately in the warehouse or inventory-management system. Organise automotive parts systematically to ensure easy identification, retrieval, and movement. Maintain accurate stock records and inventory documentation. Issue parts against approved requests, sales orders, or other authorised documentation. Ensure all stock movements are recorded promptly and accurately. Conduct regular stock counts and support periodic physical inventory checks. Investigate stock variances and report discrepancies to the appropriate supervisor. Monitor stock levels and identify fast-moving, slow-moving, damaged, obsolete, or ageing inventory. Support stock replenishment activities and communicate potential shortages to relevant teams. Apply appropriate storage and handling procedures to protect automotive parts from damage, deterioration, or loss. Maintain a clean, safe, secure, and well-organised warehouse environment. Follow proper identification, labelling, shelving, and storage procedures. Coordinate with suppliers and logistics providers regarding deliveries and outstanding orders where required. Prepare goods for dispatch and verify parts against approved documentation before release. Support accurate picking, packing, and dispatch of customer and internal orders. Ensure high-value and sensitive automotive parts receive appropriate security and handling. Maintain proper records for returns, damaged goods, transfers, and adjustments. Support the investigation and resolution of customer or internal stock-related queries. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports as required. Provide accurate stock information to sales, procurement, finance, and management teams. Support warehouse audits and ensure documentation remains complete and accessible. Follow company policies, health and safety procedures, and inventory-control standards. Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency, stock accuracy, space utilisation, and turnaround times. Challenge inefficient processes and recommend practical solutions that improve warehouse performance. Qualifications & Experience Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Inventory Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Professional training or certification in warehousing, logistics, or supply-chain management will be an advantage. 1–3 years of relevant experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, logistics, or a similar role. Experience in an automotive parts, spare-parts, engineering, manufacturing, distribution, or trading environment will be an advantage. Good understanding of stock control, receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch processes. Experience using inventory-management or warehouse-management systems. Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other relevant office applications. Experience handling stock counts, reconciliations, and inventory reports.
