We value accuracy, accountability, teamwork, safety, and excellent service. We are looking for a careful, reliable, and organized Warehouse Clerk to join our team in Tema. The successful candidate will support the efficient receipt, storage, picking, packing, inventory control, and dispatch of automotive parts. This role is ideal for someone who pays close attention to detail, takes ownership of assigned responsibilities, and can maintain accuracy in a busy warehouse environment. Job Summary The Warehouse Clerk will receive, inspect, store, pick, pack, and dispatch auto parts while maintaining accurate inventory records and a safe, organized warehouse. The successful candidate will work closely with the Auto Parts & Inventory Manager, Parts Manager, procurement team, service centre, sales team, drivers, couriers, and other colleagues to ensure that parts reach the right destination accurately and on time. Key Responsibilities Receiving and Inspection Receive incoming auto-parts shipments from local suppliers and the central procurement team. Unload and verify deliveries against purchase orders, delivery notes, invoices, or other supporting documents. Physically count all received items and confirm quantities accurately. Inspect parts for visible damage, including dents, rust, missing components, or other defects. Record and report discrepancies, damaged items, shortages, and overages immediately to the appropriate supervisor. Ensure received parts meet the required specifications before placing them into storage. Storage and Inventory Management Store auto parts systematically in designated bin locations. Organize parts according to part number, vehicle model, size, category, or other approved warehouse classifications. Label shelves, bins, and storage locations clearly to support quick and accurate retrieval. Maintain orderly shelves and ensure that labels remain visible and accurate. Monitor stock movement and report inventory concerns to the Auto Parts & Inventory Manager. Assist with monthly physical inventory counts and stock verification exercises. Count assigned sections or part categories accurately during stocktaking. Report shortages, overages, damaged stock, and other discrepancies promptly. Assist with reconciling physical inventory counts against system records when required. Picking, Packing, and Dispatch Pick parts accurately based on picking slips, work orders, sales orders, or approved requests. Supply parts according to production plans and authorized requirements. Verify part numbers, descriptions, and quantities before releasing items. Pack parts securely using appropriate materials such as boxes, bubble wrap, crates, or protective packaging. Protect parts from damage during handling, storage, and transportation. Prepare waybills, packing lists, dispatch notes, and other required delivery documentation. Coordinate dispatches with drivers, couriers, service teams, and other relevant personnel. Ensure the correct parts reach the correct destination within the required timeframe. Warehouse Organization and Safety Keep warehouse floors, shelves, work areas, and aisles clean and free from obstructions. Organize tools, packing materials, equipment, and other warehouse supplies in designated areas. Follow approved warehouse safety procedures at all times. Stack parts and materials safely to prevent falling objects and damage. Use ladders, hand pallet jacks, trolleys, weighing scales, and other warehouse equipment safely. Keep fire exits, emergency access points, and walkways clear at all times. Handle heavy, hazardous, or sensitive items such as batteries, oils, and other automotive materials according to approved safety procedures. Report hazards such as oil spills, damaged pallets, faulty lighting, unsafe stacking, or other risks immediately. Follow all company warehouse standard operating procedures. Teamwork and General Support Work closely with the Parts Manager, Auto Parts & Inventory Manager, procurement team, service centre, sales team, and other colleagues. Support the team during urgent requests, high-volume periods, promotions, and month-end activities. Communicate inventory and warehouse issues promptly and accurately. Perform other warehouse-related duties assigned by management. Educational Requirements HND or Bachelor’s degree in any field from a recognized institution. Additional training or certification in Warehouse Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Inventory Management, or a related field will be an advantage. Experience and Technical Requirements Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics, auto-parts handling, or general storekeeping. Experience working with automotive parts will be an advantage. Good understanding of receiving, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, and stocktaking procedures. Ability to accurately read and record part numbers, descriptions, quantities, and other inventory information. Basic computer skills and ability to work with inventory or warehouse-management systems. Ability to use basic warehouse equipment such as hand pallet jacks, trolleys, and weighing scales safely.
