The school is seeking an experienced, passionate, and highly organized Preschool Coordinator to provide strong academic and operational leadership within the Early Years section. The successful candidate will lead teachers, strengthen curriculum delivery, support children’s holistic development, and build a welcoming environment where children, teachers, and parents feel valued and engaged. Key Responsibilities Provide effective leadership and day-to-day coordination of the preschool and early years section. Create a safe, nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for young children. Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of high-quality early years programmes. Oversee the effective delivery of Montessori, Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), and Cambridge-based learning approaches. Ensure teachers use developmentally appropriate teaching methods that respond to children’s individual learning needs. Supervise, support, mentor, and motivate early years teachers and classroom assistants. Conduct regular classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to improve teaching and learning. Coordinate lesson planning, assessment, record keeping, and reporting across the preschool section. Monitor children’s academic, social, emotional, physical, and developmental progress. Identify children who require additional support and work with teachers and parents to develop appropriate interventions. Promote positive behaviour management and maintain consistent classroom expectations. Ensure teachers maintain high standards of classroom organization, hygiene, safety, and child supervision. Support the recruitment, induction, coaching, and professional development of preschool staff. Organize staff meetings, professional development sessions, and curriculum planning activities. Build strong and positive relationships with parents and guardians and communicate regularly about children’s progress and wellbeing. Address parent concerns professionally and work collaboratively to resolve issues. Coordinate preschool activities, special events, educational visits, celebrations, and other school programmes. Maintain accurate student, curriculum, assessment, and staff records. Ensure the preschool section follows school policies, safeguarding procedures, and applicable educational standards. Work closely with school leadership to develop and implement strategies that improve early years education. Monitor resources, classroom materials, and learning environments and recommend improvements where necessary. Promote a strong culture of collaboration, professionalism, inclusion, and continuous improvement. Carry out other duties assigned by school leadership. Qualifications & Experience Degree in Early Years Education, Early Childhood Education, Education, or a related field. A Master’s degree in Early Years Education or a related field will be an added advantage. Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in Early Years Education. 5–6 years of experience in a leadership or management role within an early years or educational setting. Proven experience managing or coordinating programmes based on Montessori, EYFS, and Cambridge education. Strong understanding of early childhood development, child-centred learning, and developmentally appropriate teaching practices. Demonstrated experience leading and developing teaching teams. Strong knowledge of early years curriculum planning, assessment, safeguarding, and classroom management. Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills. Strong ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, teachers, and school leadership. A genuine passion for early childhood education and children’s holistic development.
