Chiropractic Wellness Centres is seeking a skilled, compassionate, and patient-focused Physiotherapist to join its team in East Legon. Job Summary The Physiotherapist will assess, diagnose, treat, and rehabilitate patients experiencing musculoskeletal, neurological, movement, mobility, and physical-function challenges. The successful candidate will develop personalised treatment programmes, deliver evidence-informed physiotherapy interventions, monitor patient progress, and educate patients on exercises and lifestyle practices that support recovery and long-term wellness. The role also requires strong supervisory capability to support junior clinical staff, maintain professional standards, and contribute to effective team performance. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments to understand patients’ physical conditions, limitations, pain levels, mobility, and functional needs. Review patients’ medical histories, referrals, diagnostic information, and relevant clinical records. Develop individualised treatment and rehabilitation plans based on assessment findings and patient goals. Deliver appropriate physiotherapy interventions using evidence-informed clinical techniques. Provide therapeutic exercises to improve strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, mobility, and functional independence. Apply appropriate manual therapy and other approved physiotherapy techniques. Use appropriate physical modalities and therapeutic equipment when clinically indicated. Treat patients experiencing musculoskeletal pain, sports injuries, joint conditions, postural problems, mobility limitations, and other relevant physical conditions. Support patients recovering from surgery, injury, illness, or other conditions affecting physical function. Collaborate with chiropractors, medical professionals, wellness practitioners, and other members of the care team to coordinate patient management. Monitor patients’ responses to treatment and modify treatment plans according to progress and clinical findings. Establish measurable rehabilitation goals and regularly evaluate patient outcomes. Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date clinical records for every patient. Document assessments, treatment interventions, progress, referrals, and discharge plans appropriately. Educate patients on home exercise programmes, posture, body mechanics, injury prevention, mobility, and healthy movement practices. Demonstrate exercises clearly and ensure patients understand how to perform them safely. Provide patients with practical guidance to support recovery and prevent recurrence of injuries. Identify clinical concerns that require referral or further medical assessment and escalate them appropriately. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with applicable professional and healthcare standards. Ensure that treatment rooms, equipment, and clinical areas remain clean, safe, organised, and suitable for patient care. Inspect physiotherapy equipment and report faults or maintenance requirements promptly. Maintain appropriate standards of infection prevention and control. Support patient education programmes, wellness initiatives, workshops, and community health activities. Build positive professional relationships with patients and encourage adherence to treatment programmes. Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, caregivers, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals. Respond professionally to patient concerns, questions, and feedback. Stay informed about developments in physiotherapy, rehabilitation, pain management, movement science, and wellness care. Participate in professional development, clinical meetings, case discussions, and quality-improvement initiatives. Supervise, guide, and support junior physiotherapists, assistants, interns, or other assigned team members. Allocate duties and support effective coordination of physiotherapy services where required. Coach team members on clinical procedures, patient care, documentation, and professional standards. Monitor service quality and promote consistent adherence to approved clinical protocols. Support the development and implementation of clinical policies, procedures, and service-improvement initiatives. Prepare clinical and operational reports as required by management. Perform other professional duties assigned by management within the scope of practice. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy or an equivalent recognised qualification. Must hold the appropriate professional registration and licence required to practise as a physiotherapist in Ghana. Minimum of 2 years’ supervisory experience, preferably within a physiotherapy clinic, hospital, rehabilitation centre, chiropractic practice, wellness centre, or multidisciplinary healthcare facility. Demonstrated experience assessing and treating patients with musculoskeletal and mobility-related conditions. Experience developing and monitoring individualised rehabilitation programmes. Strong knowledge of therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, rehabilitation techniques, and patient education. Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Relevant professional certifications or specialised training are an advantage.
