Job Summary Hollywell Chemist Limited is seeking a responsible, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Pharmacy Technician to join its team in Kasoa. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day operation of the pharmacy by assisting with dispensing, preparing and handling medicines, managing stock, maintaining accurate records, and providing professional customer service under the appropriate supervision. The ideal candidate will demonstrate accuracy, integrity, good communication skills, and a strong commitment to patient safety and quality service. Key Responsibilities Assist with the preparation and dispensing of prescription and over-the-counter medicines under appropriate professional supervision. Receive, review, and process prescriptions accurately in accordance with established procedures. Provide customers with appropriate information on medication use as permitted within the scope of the role. Refer medication-related questions or clinical concerns to the supervising pharmacist when necessary. Label and package medicines accurately and maintain proper documentation. Maintain accurate and up-to-date pharmacy and customer records. Receive, inspect, and properly store pharmaceutical products and supplies. Monitor stock levels and support timely replenishment of medicines and pharmacy supplies. Check product expiry dates and remove expired or damaged products according to established procedures. Assist with stock-taking, inventory reconciliation, and monitoring of product movement. Maintain proper records for controlled and restricted medicines as required. Keep the pharmacy, storage areas, shelves, and workstations clean, organized, and hygienic. Support the pharmacist in maintaining compliance with pharmacy policies, procedures, and applicable regulations. Handle customer enquiries professionally and provide a welcoming experience. Maintain confidentiality when handling patient and customer information. Assist with administrative duties, documentation, and reporting as required. Monitor storage conditions and ensure medicines remain within appropriate storage requirements. Report medication discrepancies, damaged products, stock issues, or other concerns promptly. Work closely with pharmacists and other pharmacy staff to maintain efficient daily operations. Participate in health-awareness and customer-education activities when required. Perform other duties assigned by the supervising pharmacist or management. Requirements Relevant qualification in Pharmacy Technology/Pharmacy Technician studies or an equivalent recognized qualification. Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a pharmacy, hospital, clinic, or related healthcare environment. Appropriate professional registration or authorization to practise as required in Ghana. Good knowledge of pharmaceutical products, dispensing procedures, and pharmacy operations. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good understanding of pharmaceutical stock management and storage procedures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong customer-service orientation. High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Ability to follow instructions and established pharmacy procedures accurately. Good organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and as part of a team. Basic computer skills and experience with pharmacy or inventory management systems are an advantage.
