We are seeking a qualified, detail-oriented, and highly organised Head Office – Accountant to join our team in Sunyani. The successful candidate will manage key accounting and financial activities at Head Office while supporting statutory compliance, payroll, budgeting, audit processes, data protection, and effective financial controls. Key Responsibilities Accounting & Financial Management Manage and monitor foreign exchange movements and maintain accurate records of foreign currency transactions. Calculate, prepare, file, and facilitate the timely payment of statutory obligations, including Withholding Tax (WHT), PAYE, VAT, and SSF Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3. Manage Head Office petty cash and ensure that all transactions are properly authorised, recorded, and reconciled. Manage Head Office cash and bank accounts and prepare accurate weekly and monthly cash-position reports. Prepare regular bank reconciliation statements for Head Office bank accounts and promptly investigate discrepancies. Maintain and update the company’s fixed asset register and ensure that asset records remain accurate and complete. Prepare year-end financial statements and supporting schedules for external audit. Process Head Office invoices, payment requests, and related financial documentation accurately and within established timelines. Prepare and administer the Head Office permanent payroll and ensure accurate and timely payroll processing. Consolidate payroll information for all permanent employees and maintain accurate payroll records. Record and reconcile the CEO’s cashbook and bank transactions in the accounting system. Manage external loan records and internal employee salary advances, including appropriate reconciliations and documentation. Maintain records of company insurance policies and monitor renewal dates and related payments. Monitor approved budgets against actual expenditure and provide timely alerts to management on significant or unusual variances. Manage and reconcile intercompany accounts and investigate outstanding balances. Supervise the HQ Accounts Assistant and provide guidance to ensure accurate and timely completion of assigned duties. Support stock management activities and participate in stock counts and audits as required. Conduct financial investigations and research to support management decision-making. Coordinate and support the annual financial audit by preparing schedules, records, and supporting documentation. Assist with the preparation of the annual operational budget and provide relevant financial information and analysis. Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential accounting records in accordance with company policies and applicable accounting standards. Data Protection & Compliance Coordinate and support the implementation and ongoing management of Form Ghana Ltd’s Data Protection Programme. Ensure that data processing activities comply with applicable data protection requirements. Draft, review, and update data protection policies, procedures, and related documentation. Support employee awareness and training on data protection policies and responsible handling of personal information. Monitor the status of the company’s Data Protection Certificate and coordinate timely renewals to maintain continuous compliance. Supervise the secure disposal of personal and general data in accordance with approved procedures. Maintain appropriate records relating to data protection activities, compliance, training, and data disposal. Liaise with relevant authorities, including the National Communications Authority (NCA), to support the renewal and maintenance of applicable Motorola licences. Support management with other compliance and administrative assignments within the scope of the role. Qualifications & Experience Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of five (5) years’ relevant professional experience in accounting, finance, or a related field. Membership of ICAG, ACCA, CIMA, or an equivalent recognised professional accounting body. Professional certification or recognised qualification in data protection and privacy compliance. Demonstrated knowledge of Ghanaian tax, pension, payroll, and statutory compliance requirements. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, accounting software, and relevant forestry or financial information systems. Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting, payroll, and audit processes. A valid Ghana Card, SSNIT number, and NHIS membership will be required where applicable for employment and statutory administration. A valid Class B Driver’s Licence will be an added advantage. Ability to deliver effective training and employee awareness sessions. Strong interpersonal and relationship-management skills. Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
