ACCOUNTS OFFICER Company: Sedat Consult Location: Amusement Park, Shornaa Island – Labadi Employment Type: Full-Time Company Profile Our client, a company providing quality hospitality services, is seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Accounts Officer to support its financial operations. The successful candidate will maintain accurate financial records, process transactions, support financial reporting, and help ensure strong financial controls across the business. The role requires a highly organized professional who can work accurately in a fast-paced hospitality environment and maintain confidentiality when handling financial information. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and financial documentation. Record daily financial transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and expenses. Process invoices, payment requests, receipts, and other accounting documents accurately and promptly. Reconcile bank accounts, cash balances, sales records, and other financial accounts. Monitor daily revenues, expenditures, and cash transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness. Support the preparation of monthly financial reports, schedules, and management accounts. Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and receivable. Follow up on outstanding receivables and support timely collection of customer balances. Verify invoices and supporting documents before processing payments. Assist with cash management and monitor daily cash movements. Support payroll-related accounting activities and maintain appropriate financial records. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis when required. Maintain organized records for audits, tax filings, and other statutory requirements. Identify discrepancies, investigate variances, and promptly escalate financial irregularities. Ensure compliance with established accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Work closely with operational teams to ensure accurate recording and reporting of financial activities. Maintain strict confidentiality of company and financial information. Perform other accounting duties assigned by management. Qualifications & Experience Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Part qualification in ICAG (Ghana) or ACCA, Levels 1 or 2, will be a strong advantage. 1–3 years of direct accounting experience within the hospitality sector. Practical understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and reconciliations. Experience handling cash, sales records, invoices, expenses, and other day-to-day accounting transactions. Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software will be an advantage.
